NurseBook is a key processing tool for assigning nurses
to jobs. The NurseBook database stores nurse availabilities
and client requirements. It allows matching to take place
to assign a nurse to the client requirement. The extent
to which this is automated is your decision – current
customers prefer this matching to take place using their
own skill and knowledge.

Nurse availabilities and Client requirements are entered
concurrently. By highlighting a requirement and selecting
a type of nurse*, the available nurses are displayed.
Based on locations of the client and the nurse, a match
can be made to book the nurse to the client requirement.
The nurse is then confirmed for the position and the client
is contacted to ensure that the post has not been filled
and that the nurse is acceptable to the client – the client
may record a reference number to confirm this booking.
Management reports will be useful at this stage to assess
number of fulfilled bookings, client cancellation rate
and so on.
*Nurse types are categorised as Qualified/Unqualified
[where unqualified are grades A and B] and Day/Night.
